As 2004 ends and 2005 begins I wanted to share some positive feedback from the world at large. We need the Arts at dark times like these to shine some light while we cope with the worst administration of my lifetime, here in this mad empire seemingly on the decline. Though most of my artistic focus was on my new book, In Deep, I have kept up work on the musical end of things. The Wild Buds are working on an album of covers and originals, Vid Andrews and I are working on a seperate album of original rock songs, and The Word-Music Continuum is working on our second album. I was a finalist in the Unisong International Song Contest and received an Honorable Mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (both with songs I co-authored with Brian Payne). I was also recently asked to serve on the Board of PEN Oakland, which I am very honored to be able to do. I wish you all a great 2005 and thanks for your support in 2004....Kirk Lumpkin
